British entrepreneur and pilot Freddie Bosworth established Gulf Aviation Company Limited as a private shareholding company on 24th of March of the same year.
Overseas British Airways had 22% stake in Gulf Aviation through its subsidiary company BOAC in October of the same year.
Governments of Bahrain, Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman bought BOAC stakes in Gulf Aviation. As a result, the governments of the four states had shares of about 25% in the Gulf Aviation.
